i have this problem where my plane mods don't work. they don't show up but their files are where they are but whats really weird is some of the planes like the B17G and B25 were still there after i uninstalled it and reinstalled it some of the planes that did download and work were still there. i don't know whats going on but i can't get these plane mods to work for me. witch one? maybe all of them, the plane pack mod only like 5 planes for each side then the whole list.
oh and a fyi, i'm useing vidta and i got my game from GOG.com if that info helps
If using Windows Vista IL2 must be installed to c:\Games\.....
Do not install to default c:\Program Files\...
Vista prevents overwriting of files in c:\Program Files
Ensure that in the IL2 folder there is only a single copy of air.ini; plane_ru.properties and weapon_ru.properties.
Also ensure you have the latest Aircraft Installer "buttons" file.

In your IL2/Mods/STD folder (subfolders).
ok, i have one of each of those two files. still nothing
Edit: ok i just found out something. deleteing the MODS folder makes everything russian. still this is really starting to piss me off. i'm going to remove the game, remove the set up, download the game again and try this all again. i can't tell you how annoying it is to wait for 6 hours for it to download
Question. --- Do you have a root\Files\..... folder in your installation?
If so then there may be duplicate files in this which are also in root\MODS\...
