How to use FMB or whatever to try new maps & planes
#1

This is driving me crazy...have been trying it all day...All I want to do is do a quick flight over new Korea map or any other map with a flight of 4 F9F Panthers or what ever...I go to Full Mission Builder...I load Korea map...fine...I go to objects- in this case the F9F do a basic flight with skins...point & click 3 waypoints, and set ( I think- the path is flashing off & on in red) then go to Save as...in Quicks, and nothing happens.I try play & nothing happens...I try load & you guessed it nothing happens , except occassionally I get a "do you want to save this"...yes ,I do...but still nothing happens. I managed to make this utility work once ( probably by accident ) but now I can't manage it at all...what little thing am I forgetting to do...
ALSO not all the missions loaded in Quicks seem to work ...most do others nada...why?
Thanks ...I feel like such a fool...but I do want to fly over Korea and I can't do it in QMB!!!!!

Have you mark your plane in the first squadron??
And I think you must put 4 flights (with the planes you want) in each side too
I think its for that. Try it, and let us know

Hey Dietz ,
did you add the Korean map to your Config file and all ini file. If so you can make a mission for it using FMB and then go to QMB and fly it from there. I dont have the korean map loaded but Im sure you could add to your QMB.

You can ask some one to make you a temp mission using that map that always works as well. Im sure someone out there has already done it and is willing to share...

POST EDIT***

Here this should help you please read ( Look for what "FC" wrote)

I also couldn't get a mission to save with the new Korea map.... (and I thought I had just about every object out there on my static.ini...)... although i am not using the UI so maybe some new objects came with that which i don't have...( radar towers????)

I used the old workaround of disabling the destruction brush in the Bldconf.ini

In all my years of building missions I rarely used that feature of the FMB anyway....

Yes I 've done all of the above BUT...I have been told I must take the 3do file found in the KTO folder & put it in Mapmods/objects folder...does this help? Also I posted elsewhere if I need to place a line in the config file for this map...if so ...what?
