I've installed the UI 1.1 mod and think it is really amazing piece of work, but is there a way i can get the original hit/bullet impact sounds back without having to lose the rest of the 1.1 audio?

just put - in front of the name of any mods you dont like in your mods files, to bring it back just erase it....that all

The file is exp2_54_1 in your IL21946/files/samples and like VonWaffem said just do this -exp2_54_1 and it will disable the current sound...
