I too don't know why he puts them on the list when they are availible as mods, not like 1C is going to put them in.

What is the difference between the sabres you listed?

Basically the engines.
The original F-86 had the General Electric J-47 engine builtin, except for the F-86H which was equipped with the General Electric J73 including Afterburner.
The Canadair Sabres used the generally more powerful Avro Canada Orenda engine beginning from version Mk.3 on. These are known to be the fastest Sabres around.
The CAC Sabres uses the even more powerful Rolls-Royce Avon R.A.7, which resulted in a re-design of the fuselage as the Avon was shorter, wider and lighter than the General Electric J47, and different armament (2x30mm cannon instead of the M3 guns).
Even though the Avon was the most powerful engine for Sabres (except for the Afterburner equipped F-86H), the CAC versions didn't exceed the other's performance due to the necessary re-design of the fuselage.

I love aviation in general, and am a HUGE Korean war fan, and am so looking forward to Canvas Knights and all Korean War addons. I have no idea why people get so anal about other eras?

OK, let's think it in this way:

If you want 7 modern,

You can only have 3 ye olde balls,


And the meaning of the thing is that more new->less old.

I am looking forward to the korean war jets, but not the 4th and 5th generation ones.

Here's my logic:

Are not the basic combat fighter-to-fighter techniques quite similar in a Sabre/Mig dog fight?
I mean, similar to a P-51/Bf-109 dog fight?

So, in terms of the avionics of the kinds of combat flying, I don't see a conflict.

Just my opinion.

Also-- I have to say--if some great guy built an F-4 Phantom, I would download it in a heart beat.

Those are Countries First Jet Aircraft/Experimentals and so they are not fighters.

Gloster-Whittle was a fighter, it had provisions for 4 x .303 Brownings.

He-280 was also a fighter.

Ikarus J-451MM was a fully equipped light attack aircraft.

These are no different than some of those already listed that didn't go beyond a handful of prototypes.
