How Do I Change Column Names?
#1

I can edit thechief.ini file to modify/create new Vehicle Columns. Eg. JapanCarsColumnD.

I note that there must be a separate file somewhere which makes GermanCarsColumnA show in the FMB as for example "German Supply Column".

Will it break the game to use non-standard names (ie other than GermanCarsColumnA etc) in the chif.ini file?

If so, what file do I need to extract and edit to change the names as they appear inthe in the FMB.

Regards

only editing of the chiefs.ini is required

each entry is in there twice...at the top....

GermanyCarsColumnG ai.ground.ChiefGround 2 icons/car.mat

and lower down in detail....

Thanks fabianfred.

I can now have any name as long as it has no spaces. If I use "_" or "%20" as the space then this shows in the FMB. Is there a way to (maybe in another file) make the name appear differntly in the FMB. Like for example the "JapanCarsColumnA" is the "JA Command Staff Column" in the FMB?

Thanks Ratty
