I was playing IL2 yesterday and just flying around for fun. When I saw these japanese tents or something, I decided that I wanted to destroy them. I shot one of them and I noticed the tent itself exploded. I did NOT use cannons since i was flying the P51. It wasnt one of those explosions which can cut your wings off just some "poff" explosion like.

I think this was pretty stupid cuz a tent dont explode! Is there a way to fix that, it would be much appreciated with some replys to see what you guys say.

exactly which tents???
look at their name in the static.ini....... maybe they have been assigned an incorrect damage model

Oh , those bloody tents !! indeed they are hiding tons of explosive ammunition
so a big kaboom is in order :lol: :lol:
Just kiddin' , have no idea , haven't practicing gunnery on tents in years
Now I am gonna try tents myself to see what's going on................................

Yes , fabianfred is right ,
I also like it more when I am shooting some objects laying bullets where I would not normally expect much going on and then all of a sudden out of nowhere wing ripping off BANG !! because of flying too low strafing everything around , it gives that extra real documerntary footage feel
Always be careful of innocent looking objects like tents as explosive fuel might be assigned to some of those by mission creator

But I dont actually know what object it is cuz I was playing in QMB on the slovakia map :? But ill see if I can find it in the FMB.
