As the title says, what joystick should i get.
I'm looking for one not to complex and not that expensive.

Second hand Microsoft Sidewinder 2 Force Feedback - never needs calibrating, lasts forever (had mine for 7 years) , extremely easy to use, comfortable..........................ah yes, there can be only one

I had a Saitek Evo Force for the last 4 years that is just losing centre. I ordered a Thrustmaster T-16000M as a replacement.
Had heard different things about this brand but I know there are some who swear by it. That and the T-16000M uses Hall sensors which I have heard are pretty good or at least better than average.
Not bad for around $50 USD.
Are you going force feedback or non?

To be honest guys i play with my xbox 360 controller so i dont know force feed back and stuff so yah, I just need/want a joystick. I mean i have to fly with one hand on my controller and one on my keyboard so High alt. bombing is impossible. But if you could try to tell me price and what not that would be great.

Then if you are looking for something more basic, I would suggest just going down to the local place where they have joysticks on display and try to see what feels good in your hand: only stay away from Logitech. I had a few of those and they are teh suxx0rs.
You could likely get out the door for $15 if they have any selection.

ive had two logitechs in the past 4 years....same model too...they are cheap and you get what you pay for, but when one breaks, just go buy another one for $10. it gets the job done. :lol:
ive never been a fan of Force Feedback. If i want to feel something shake i want everything to, not just my hand.
i will agree with the first post about the MS sidewinder though. i had the original sidewiner 1 force feedback (FF disabled of course). i think i had it for almost 10 years....the only reason i retired it was because it took up so much desk space :roll:

Everybody just about disses Logitech.. at least for their joysticks.. because fr the most part they are garbage. If you had one that lasted 2 years with regular use you are the exception.. not the rule. More power to you.
Rain.. Night shifter's advice is good. The MSFFB2 is the absolute best single joystick ever made. It has no equal. Be all that as it may be.. you may not want one.. so I suggest the next best thing. A Saitek X-52 or X-52 Pro. You may not want something too "complicated" now.. but you want a joystick you can grow into. There is nothing more frustrating than finding out the joystick you bought that was "just what you needed" 3 months ago.. has now become useless.. or at the very least far less functional than your expanding needs dictate. If you intend to fly this sim for any length of time.. expect yur needs to expand as you get more familiar with the sim.

The 3dPro is completely disassembled, as Logitech potentiometers is crappy (hence the biggest complaint of Logitech users) I only use the 3dPro's pc boards and motors.
I got my X45 as gift, but I was already 2 months into my HOTAS project. The X45 is great, but it just doesn’t come close to my HOTAS (BTW which is still WIP as I'm building a cockpit for all the HOTAS).
But for an out of the box joystick, I'll go for the X45, but it depends on how much $$$ you want to spend.

That looks good.. but for $639 I'll pass.. Rain if you spend less than $50 US or it's equivalent you will be buying a new stick within the next 6-18 months.. Whatever you get if you buy retail get one os those PRPs.. for @$9. The new Saitek Cyborg isnt bad.
