Let's give him a bit more info. Tongue

Needed: IL2:1946, patched to 4.08M. Install of Unified Installer 1.1 (found at top of forum) and patched to 1.1.1 and then the modding starts. Sabre mod and the latest AC Installer 3.5 (3.6 if you look tomorrow).

Eddie, is that a Springbok in the roundel?

Highlander,

Good to see the old Sabre has not been forgotten in the rush to churn out Panther skins....... Great detail m8, well done.

I wish we could adapt/use the Panther FM to produce a Fury.... (basic Sabre with hook in new slot) is this possible ?

Fury was a different aircraft, deeper fuselage for a start. Also think the wings were broader chord, but not sure without checking. Would need a complete new model

The differences are quite minor in the big scheme of things, very few of the models are 100% accurate in terms of scale and shape due to the modelling process and poly limits. It is really about visual approximation (I would hate to have to land on an 8 sided wheel in real life). I was just thinking that the Fury conversion would be a quick win, with existing skin templates already out there and a working FM from the F9F. However, I accept that this is not the place for this discussion. PeterD has taken on the MIG 15 and has enough on his plate, but there are some skilled guys out there who could do the minor changes if they had a mind to I am sure.

Anyway, I actually only went on in the first place to say good skins m8 so ... good skins m8
