I really want to see blood in my cockpit when I get killed but I just get a clean pilot slumped to side

Fly aircraft that have the gore effect. Most aircraft don't have it.

Not sure. A search for "gore" in the extracted files gave these (many different versions per aircraft possible):

As far as i know, only two aircraft in the game could have gore. Bf-109 and I cant remember the other. Now with the mods, there might be more. In order to turn on gore, you have to open the confing.ini file in IL2 and change gore=0 to gore=1. Dont mess with the config.ini file unless you know what you are doing. However, since it is only for two aircraft it is not worth the effort.

That warning is a bit over the top!?!? Just backup your conf.ini, so you can put it back if you go wrong.

Keeping this M4T conf.ini break down bookmarked and using it as a guide, all should go fine.
