That'd be awesome for movie-making purposes.

I'd hate to see IL2 go the way of CFS3 with "flyable" cars, ships, tanks, and ice-cream trucks being added. Oh well, if somebody wants all that stuff, then have it...

I think you need Ranwers to do a mod cockpit for that car!

what are you guys talking about!? Big Grin

I think that having a driveable tank or flak gun on the ground would be a great idea. Mind you, I'd always prefer a new slot aircraft, but if some modder likes this I don't see why not.

I'd prefer a jeep or kubelwagen for the view. It'd be nice for driving around a base or town to check out your work. And God forbid a couple of guys got together and bombed around a map just for fun!

Confusedhock: LOL! Trippy

I can see one possible use of it and that would be online with the objective being to get X number of cars or trucks from base A to base B without being nailed by enemy aircraft and friendly aircraft patrols keeping enemy AC out of the area. If this is possible maybe even a truck with anti-aircraft gun on the back as gunner position is also possible?!
I don't think I'd want to drive one but blowing up a car or truck knowing someone in the world just got a loud bang and a black screen when I drop a bomb on him does appeal
It never even occured to me that this was possible for IL2...

Given as how Storm of War is likely to have "flyable" ground vehicles, we're going to have to get used to it.

While I'm not so much into the ground war, I can see good reason to have a few "flyable" vehicles in IL2. Movie making is one reason, the ability to man flak guns (if this is possible) is another.

"make the bells stop!" Big Grin

btw, as you can see i ended up crashing into them....beware of target fixation with one of these buggers...it can really turn into a STICKY situation! Big Grin Big Grin

anyways, after that whole 5 minutes of self-pleasing fun...im all for the development of cars....

i agree with MustangNF, but i think if its kept realistic, historical, and meaningful (unlike my image), itd be interesting and fun online gameplay. for the guy in the airplane at least. 8) Tongue

i agree with pursuivant as well. itd be good for moviemaking.

but i dont think people should go overboard making rediculous things to drive around like has happened with CFS and the like. especially when there are better things (like airplanes) already missing from the game.
