You CAN fly the PBY Catalina , you just need mods in order TO fly it

You can fly the PBN Nomad, which is pretty much the Catalina / is the catalina, but it's a sea plane with no undercarrige, not an amphibian, ie the nomad can't land on the ground , whereas the Catalina has an under carrige for landing on the ground as well.
get the Unified Installer if you haven't got any mods yet, or if you have, look for the PBN Nomad.

An amphibian in IL-2 would be greatly appreciated, especially for mission-making purposes.
You have the MBR-2, Ar-196, H8K, A6M-Rufe etc as seaplanes, and

Yes, ok, what i meant to say was the Nomad cannae land on land. However, the lesser horseman of the appocalypse, incompetance, cursed my keyboard and changed what i was saying to read "can't land on water".
