Question To all Modders who have skinned new slot planes ...
#1

Is it possible to have a release of voids for new slot planes?

This would REALLY be helpful to amateur skinners or skinners who aren't so modd savy. I think then we would see alot more skins for many of these new planes.

P.S. - I am really sorry to make a request, I know everyone is busy working on new projects, I just really think it it a good idea and the community (modding and otherwise) would get alot out of it.

I would say templates are more useful than voids.

All the RAF 662'nd's projects come with Templates AND voids. Ie the Magister.

But all you have to do is remove the white from the void to get all the wheel and cockpit details as well as rivets and panel lines and such. Also, the panel lines show you what area to paint.

I guess I just figured it would be less work for a modder to add only the aircraft details instead of providing a full template ... less work for him.

Does that mean the Magister comes with a template / void for only the magister, OR that the magister comes with templates / voids for aircraft in addition to the magister? Need clarification please.

That the Magister comes with both the Template and a Void for itself - all our other projects will do the same. Its a little overkill, but some skinners prefer to make their own template, others prefer to work just from a template, not a void.

That is great magpie. You set the bar high by providing a void with your projects. Would be nice to get them for some of the other planes though. My skin folder for some of the planes is quite large, but I only have the default skin for some of the new planes. It is also slightly frustrating when I can't change the skin for the Hurricane II D for example. And I can't do anything about it because I don't have a void or template to do anything with.

What brings this up is I have been re organizing and catogorizing my skins folders. anyway, just a thought.

You do realise that you can easily use Hurri skins from the others to go on the IID, they fit nicely. Just make sure hou have a Hurri IID folder in the skins folder, put them in there, and done.

Uh ... not for me. I have tried this but the tropic scoop is another color. It does not match any skins I put on it ... unless I am completely retarded ...
