Recently I have bought TIR 4 in the hopes of getting 6dof. I have the latest software and the 6dof mod. The problem is their is no 6dof, but just 2dof. I was investigating and I found that there are youtube videos with people have full 6dof. I learned that I need to turn on the 6dof mod through the Il2 switcher exe to turn on 4.08 with 6dof. However I have no il2 switcher exe

I have know Idea how to get it, maybe someone can send me it, or just at least help me elaborate. Any help would be of great help :?:

No, However someone had posted the UI.1.1 6dof mod as a reply under the 6dof mods download becuase the original was recognized as a trojan. So technically I have the 6dof mod from UI.1.1 but I don't have UI.1.1 or the il2 switcher exe

Make sure that in your TrackIR profile you have the check boxes for lean and zoom checked.. I believe IIRC they are UNCHECKED by default. Also, you must be in the Shift F1 mode in IL2 (not the regular gunsight mode)

yep I did all of that but still no 6dof

It seems I need that il2 switcher exe yet I have no idea how to get it

I have the UI 1.1. I also have the switcher, so I'm guessing it came from the UI.

Ok I guess I have to use the U.1.1 if I want to utilize the 6dof. So far I just have used mods through one by one installation. if I make aother il2 fresh install folder and download the u.1.1 do you think I could copy and paste the switcher to my modded version. Please correct me if Im wrong Im new to the whole mods buisness

Well, the UI also comes with a "_Game Switchers" folder, that contains the new il2fb.exe, wrapper.dll, and files.SFS. I don't know if the switcher exe needs to extract them from this folder.

I guess all you would need to do was copy those three files from the UI install directly into your modded game.

Since filefront for some reason only brings me to the main page when downloading the U.1.1

I'll guess Ill wait for the Unified instaler 1.2 but for now no track ir 6dof :x

Make sure you've tried this.

If you have the UI 1.1 running and have selected 6DOF then open up your TrackIr software.
Select the "Combat Flight Sim" as your profile not IL-2. Then run the game.
You should then have full TrackIr support.

You can then update the profile and create a new one that works best for you.

If you have everything installed except the switcher program, you should be able to look into your root game directory and see a series of .bat filtes.

One of them is called"Switch 409 Mods On With 6DOF.bat"

Double click on it and it will do the same thing as if you had selected it from the swicher program.
