Make sure you patch your game to 4.08m (mods enabled). Search for IL2 4.08 patch from google.
Then install Unified Installer or SFX 0.6 (unified installer ruins my computer). Search for either in All Aircraft Arcade before downloading aircraft or your game will crash.

Manual Install instructions

1. Download P2V neptune by Flaktein. Don't save directly into IL2 game folder
2. Use WINRAR (google Winrar and download free trial. It lasts forever. Big Grin) to unzip file. right click on the P2V Neptune file click WINRAR and click extract file and click OK.
3. Copy unzipped yellow folder and paste it here: C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Mods
4.Open air.ini file in: 'C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Mods\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects' with ini edit (download it for free) and add lines that can be found in readme in aircraft file.
5. Save ini file, play game.

Check the tutorial on this page viewtopic.php?t=16300&highlight= to show you how to change your air.ini file in further detail (make aircraft appear in select aircraft menu). You need to download an INI file editor first (google ini edit download). to change air.ini. Most aircraft (Spitfire XIV, B-29 silverplate etc) have automatic installers. Just follow the instructions and it will do everything for you. Tutorial is for all types of aircraft.

Hope this helps. Send me a private message (click the PM button at the bottom of my post) if you have any problems.

You have to explain in detail ArticViper. Messages like that really didn't help me as a newbie. And no it's not that simple.

It's a frankenplane and uses a B-25 cockpit so he may not be so happy. But then again it looks like a P2V so I guess we will be.
