OK ...fixed the I-16 cockpit....but still no yellow Moth....??

My I-16's have cockpits so I can't help you there but as for the U-2VS, there is a problem with Wolfighter's Gore4AllPlanes mod. If you have that mod go into the R-10 folder and copy the "PilotG.mat" from that folder into the U-2VS.

That should bring your U-2/Tiger Moth back.

Hi all,
thank for yor feedback!

I try to answer to some of the questions:

- about weapons, we used the standard British torpedo (the same as Beaufighter); rockets were used in the MkII versions while this one is MkI.

- about flaps, this aircraft had ailerons that also acted as flaps ("flaperons") by tilting downwards, this is modeled in our Swordfish.

- about rear gunner, he deploys the gun and stands up when there is the enemy around (either aircraft or ships or vehicles) then sits down again when the threat is away. When flyed by a player, the gun can be deployed using the "airbrake" key (this a/c had no airbrake obviously, it was slow enough by itself Smile )

- as noted by some players, there are some improvements to be made in the damage model (engine and fuel tanks catch rarely fire, while wings are a bit too vulnerable).

Stay tuned because there are other things related to this aircraft that are being worked ! Smile

I noticed something that I think is worth mentionning :

Ai wingmen seem to me struggling more than they should when loaded with heavy ordinance.
I set up a FMB mission with carrier take-off and some Italian destroyers to attack with torperdoes (just like everyone else Big Grin ) and my AI wingmen were having a hard time climbing. They all took-off OK, but then significantly lost altitude when they turned to the next waypoint and they were struggling not to crash all the way to target.

Apart from that, this is a fne plane you've made, I just love it. Bombers aren't usually my thing, but 'Ye Olde Stringbage' is just really fun to fly. Too bad it takes forever to get anywhere Wink

I noticed a similar thing when testing the other night. Formating on an AI plane, I had t throttle way back to keep station. I was almost falling out of the sky. Something to do with default cruise speed perhaps.

Firstly, thank you guys very much for this great addition! I've really been enjoying the plane last days. To me it seems nearly perfect, only some DM related issues to be polished (besides the cockpit), and she's perfect.

I ran some damage modelling tests, and I found out that the DM lacks any/all kinds of leaks. I was attacking a plane with all kinds of weapons, and I always got either structural failure (most of the times wing or tail broke off), or a sudden explosion, but never a leak of any sort, not even a fuel leak after spraying several hundreds of .303s all over the plane. On the other side plane really seemed prone to sudden explosions, much more so than other planes.

Anyway, these are only a brief observations, deeper tests would be needed to get better data. Please see this comment only as an attempt to contribute to an improvement of this masterpiece, thank you again for all the effort and sharing her with the community.

Some questions tho: What's the ammocount for the gunner? To me it seems rather low, but I have no clue about ammocount in real life. And - is there any kind of armor protecting the crew from behind?

This is a real beaut and one of the aircraft I've been dreaming of having. Thanks for all your efforts. Pretty good for a beta.
