Help me, Sound problem machine guns
#1

I opened this topic, to ask for help, as the title.
I noticed that the machine guns of mitraglieri dell'A20C, shoot but I can not hear any sound, as well as the Gladiator series Cry , I now there is a doubt, will work well every single mod, so the question remains for me the problem is probably due to new ACIstallatore 3.8, or I lack these file's audio, I can download the audio file Modd somewhere?

Sorry for my English translator Googleliano

Hi everybody,

I'm experiencing this problem too. There are some guns I can barely hear and in some cases I can't hear them at all (just the hissing sound of bullets passing close). It affects only some planes and some guns. For instance, Bf 109's E1, E3 and E4 MG's, Spitfire's canons and machine guns (it doesn't affect Spit MkI or Hurricane MkI, though), Zero's machine guns (not canons). Is there a way to correct this? Maybe manipulating entries in FILES/presets/sounds/*.prs files so the sounds can be made louder?
I am currently using Sound Mod 9.3 with JAFA sounds and latest buttons file from AC Installer.

Any help will be appreciated.

Best regards,

JC

Thanks for your reply, Fly!

I've checked the .wav files as you suggested and all of them are recorded at 44100 kHz, 16 Bit Mono, so it seems that the problem could be of a different nature.
Is there a way to adjust the volume of these sounds as they appear in the game? I've noticed with the Zero that MG's do sound but the sound is very faint.

Regards,
JC

PS: I've read in some or the posts in this forum that these sound problems could be "buttons" file related?

Thanks Fly!

Those you mentioned are the Sound Mod and AC installer button I am currently using.
Checking the Spit V and IX sounds again I've noticed that they too have a problem with volume. The MG and cannon sounds are so faint that you can barely hear them; but if you reproduce the .wav files directly with Windows Media Player the sounds play OK (loud enough).

JC

P.S. I am referring to MG and cannon sounds when in ouside view. When inside the cockpit all sounds are OK
