But that is the problem, often they optimize the games that are new, or have been released in the last 2 years or so

does it improve fps?

I am still on 182.50 with nnfvvnn(???) of 185

I found most of the 180 series to be a bit "slower" (FPS) then previous drivers...is the new driver suppose to have a better FPS rate?

Yes,

They always aim to increase all round performance. Read the readme on the site. Says they increase say 30% with Half Life 2 or Far Cry 2 etc etc.

But what about "IL2 1946"? Even though the FPS was better for "HL2" & "FC2" a lot of people found their "IL2" FPS drop with the 180 series of drivers...their was some talk about the issue here (or was it at the "yellow" forum?) a couple of months ago.

.. well if you're on Win 7 you haven't much choice ... few older beta drivers and that's all

182 ... 185 ( not recommended) ... and 186

BTW, tested 186 on my multimedia computer ( Win7 32 ... NV 7600 GT AGP ) and it seams that they have fixed all issues i had with previous versions. Finally it works like it should

Just installed these.

Stutters from previous 185.85 much better now and FPS improved on busy maps by about 15 FPS for me.

Thumbs up !!!

Now can someone please help me to get the right DLLs for the new drivers , I'm using 02272008 at the moment. Are there better ones for these drivers out there?

Thanks.

One option is this: Select the OS you need and download the latest JRE here.
