When I minimize my game using alt tab or windows key and then come back in game my ctrl, shift and alt button act as if they are depressed and nothing works properly. Also in game I need to have the num lock key off for the numbers to work. I don't get it and it is very frustrating. Any ideas?
Hmmm... ancient issue if I remember. IIRC hitting Ctrl+F1 once or twice gave me back control over the keys. Try it and let us know if it worked.

After hitting Win-key it is sufficient to hit Esc-key. It works for me. Sometimes necessary to repeat this sequence of keys.
