On Route to Darwin, Australia
???? Hours, 16 June 1941

On the morning of the sixteenth, before the sun began to smother Moresby in equatorial heat the nine Fortresses of the Forty-Second took off from Seven-Mile and droned southwest towards Darwin. We formed up over Port Moresby which was just beginning to come to life. The city lights and sunrise seemed to reflect off the metal roofs of Moresby as we flew over making them appear like flakes of mica in the sun. The surrounding areas seemed almost uninhabited unless you looked very close and saw that the majority of the structures were of more natural materials, and hidden in the early morning darkness. The eastern shore of the Gulf of Papua appeared like a brown dusty growth on the intensely green and lush island. Lt. Frost tells me that this is because the tall Stanley Own Range casts a weather shadow on the coast, causing a pseudo desert around Port Moresby that only heavy Monsoons could penetrate. He also pointed out that most of northwest Australia is going to be the same. But I couldn

Three Missions left to Build, a little play testing, and this Gem will be Done!

Note that the Campaign will come with a file called Static.Actors that you will put in your Philippine Map Folder. Dont worry I will be supplying instructions (its just a click and drag thing).

The Static.Actors file will add Kindley Field to Corregidor Island.

Look for this Campaign soon-ish!

I've got about 15 more missions to play test then its all Gravy!

Not only will the campaign include an updated Static.Actors file to be added to your Philippines map for Kindley Field on Corregidor Island.

But you will also get an updated Static.Actors for the Darwin Australia Map that will allow B-17s to Taxi with out running into one another.

Both of these updates have been made at the permission of the Map Authors, and in the case of Kindley the Philippines Author made the corrections himself and asked me to offer it in this campaign.

I will set up for these things to auto install so you will not have to open up Map Folders!

Thanks alot for the words, I put most of fall 2008 into this campaign. I wish I could crank them out as fast as PhilK (one of the best mission builders out there in my opinon.)

Listen if there are any players that enjoyed this campaign and also enjoy online play please come check out a group I'm apart of. We specialize in heavy, and medium bombers. http://www.3rdbg-virtual.com/
