[REQUEST] TBF cockpit and a Grumman Bearcat
#1

Hey guys:

I wish I had more time to visit this website, but unfortunately my time is limited, so there already maybe a mod I'm looking for.

Can anyone make a cockpit for the TBF Avenger and also a flyable Grumman Bearcat, (F8F I think) I always wanted to see how that plane would have done if made in time. I come from a Grumman famaily and always loved those planes.

Thanks
Creature.

That F9F would have made William Holden very proudSmile)

You are joking, right ? You are from Grumman family and want planes that were cancelled from official release thanks to Grumman company ...? Or had Oleg other reason to abandon Pacific theater...?

I come from "a" Grumman family not "the" Grumman family. Which means we worked there. I'm a little confused about the "your joking" thing. If you could be a little more specific that we be very kind.

I'm not very computer savy or I would have figured out a way to post the picturesSmile

that cybermodeler.com link seems to be a good source of info for the aicraft modders out there.

Long ago there was a conflict about rights or brand names which resulted in canceling of Avenger or more planes and some ship (Yorktown ?). I don't remember the details, maybe someone will fill the gaps. I know that only few info leaked and it's really long time.

The TBF / TBM family is slated to be expanded as for the Bearcat that would required an brand new 3D model and lots of associated work.

At the moment everyone is overloaded to the gills trying to get what we have on our plates completed before we take on any new tasks.

Creature,

If you have 3D talent maybe you would like to join in the fun and start on the TMF/TBM pit.

Too bad, teams around here could use a spare hand or two.

Anyways, just be patient, I'm sure these will pop out as soon as they are complete.

All the best

If I may, the F8F is already being made by someone... Perhaps someone else can offer more clarification as it would appear this project is being juggled and tossed around. I hope that it's more than just a frakenplane based on the P-47. Here's a good looking pic I found that was posted by JapanCat:

It will be awesome! even though it didn't participate in that Korean War at all. By then, we were giving them to the French Cry It was such a beautiful plane.
