hello, can some please advise me on how to remedy a " the instructions at 0x5ed05300 refrenced memory at 0x0005l, memory could not be read error??
this seems to only be effecting my mods install, my most recent were swordfish and new slovenia maps, I have since removed those 2 mods and problem persists. i have also rolled back to monday in system restore and problem persists. I am running ver 1.11.

It seems to block certain elements only--namely in my case certain static careers that I have tried to load.

I installed the Slovenia map incorrectly, and reinstalled it with just 1.34 files, but I have tried the Operation Corkscrew and Checkertails across the Med which now will not load without crashing.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Without actually being able to test your ram it's hard to say, but my best guess is you've stumbled across a bad memory block on one of your sticks of ram.

Try D/Ling one of the free stress test programs out there and run a test on your system ram and your video ram. That should be the first place to start. Then start looking at reinstalling the whole game to see if the problem persists.

You can find some really good memory checkers and stress programs on "Ulitimate Boot CD" and "Emergency Boot CD". Both can be found on Sourceforge.net.

I was reinstalling the map and saw the airfield mod that i missed before it mentions a catapault and take off mod conflict, all my problems were in the baptism of fire campaign which is an older carrier campaign with seafires, also i could fly german planes etc not any carrier planes so i think its a conflict even if you dont have the To and catapault mods maybe??? I went back to 1.32 and so far no issues with anything and also got into 2 coops online on different maps with no issues. I think im a mod too far is my issue or a mod not enough. The map is truly awesome though.

There is definitely something in the Slovenia 1.34 airfields mod that causes the conflict. I deleted the mod and reverted to 1.32 and now everything is back to work just as it had before.

I was looking forward to the new Slovenia map, but I will live without it for the time being. Thanks to all these great mods and modders.

I've the same problem as above. After downloading the Sink the Bismark mission and the new Zuti_Slovenia map, the following two loading problems appeared:
Opening the Single missions folder, Bismark mission, Seafires, the IT CANT 1007 the system stops and the following message appears, "The instruction at "0x0fc70a57" referenced memory at 0x118d83b0. The memory could not be read. Click ok to terminate program." The same thing happens when I try to open an RN campaign. A similar failure occurs with other RN campaigns which states "Mission loading failed: dir. Sea Hurricane MKIb."
Oddly, All the aircraft, so far detected, load and fly in QMB without a problem.
I've read the above thread, deleted and reinstalled an earlier version of Zuti_Slovenia without success. I've disabled the Swordfish, Sea Hurricane single mission folders and the Zuti-Slovenia map in Mapmods folder and the problem persists.
What should I do?

I've been following this thread because I was having similar problems and hoped a solution would be offered. I did the following: I spent several hours deleting and reinstalling my most recent installations, but that didn't work. Finally, I was forced to delete my current MODs folder and reinstall the back-up which was functioning correctly. From that point, on a one-by-one basis, all the folders I suspected. The two major suspects were Forgotten Countries v1.01 and the most recent Zuti_Slovenia update. I reinstalled all my missing folders, but the Zuti_Slovenia update, successfully, so that must have been the problem.
That's the solution that what worked for me . I hope it helps you.

Sorry for the bump, but I have a similar problem. Only, it happens when I set up a QMB Coral Sea mission, and only when I set enemy aircraft. Works fine last I checked when I'm flying alone.

I set up the mission, everything loads fine. Then after 5-10 seconds of flight, I get the error and CTD.

The mods I have installed recently are:
Aircraft Installer 3.8
A6M3-32/kai
Swordfish

I removed the A6M3-32, but the problem remains.

I'm thinking its either AI 3.8, or the Swordfish.

Ok, removed the map mods from the UI, thinking that would help. No luck.

Next attempt: Reinstall AC 3.8, this time with the Mod-activator. Didn't work.

Guess I'll try the Swordfish next.
Edit: Nope, still get the error.

Well... I have done a reinstall of the whole thing from a clean install of 4.08 to v 1.1 and stop. The v 1.1 is OK, no CTD. So the problem is in v1.2 ...
But where ? :???:
If i try v1.2 step by step it'll take days.
What's the best practice?

I get this too, though for me it happens on the 'default' Normandy map. At first I though it was because I had the map loaded up with too many objects, but it seems it may be a wider issue.

So you mean take these from 4.08 and replace them in your 4.09 install?
