While we all anxiously await the next Whirlwind update, I was wondering if there would be modders (thinking of Muas or Anto in particular) interested in looking at other early (40-42) RAF twin-engined fighters.

We have three Mossie variants and two Beaufighters, which is awesome, but they all represent ground attack types from pretty late in the war. With the upcoming Channel map(s) and Lancaster projetcs, we are going to need some nightfighters to counter the 110G-4, and that's where a Mossie Mk.III or early Beaus (I and VI IIRC) would come in handy.
Having to resort to using a 1944 Australian variant of the Beaufighter in 1941 MTO scenarios always sounded a bit odd as well...

Good news is the 3D models are done, and all that's needed is a bit of FM and classwork.

Yes, i think some planes need a FM revision, based in historic true data charts, auor comunity give a great improvement to IL-2 now will be a big work do new slot for so much planes...

I'm more of a hack-jobber and I'm slowly getting my head around 3DS Max. But I'll consider it for the future once my current projects are out of the way

Yes, but still not so helpful for combat simulation as they were unarmed. (IIRC)

Probably Porcorosso meant the MkII?

Yeah, he probably meant the Mk.II - they were built both as day fighters as well as radar equipped night fighters.

The Mk.III was a dual-control trainer, unarmed, but i don't agree it has no place in this sim - we already have some unarmed planes in it.
