Blackburn Skua drawings
#1

Anyone got any good 3 view drawings of the Skua?

I went on to Airwar.ru and although the quality os good it is obvious that it has been a large drawing scanned into several different files which means the end of the wing is chopped off etc...

Thing is doing a search I can't find much better.

Hi.

For the Skua/Roc I recommend the Mushroom book on the type, in my view the best publication available on the type from a technical viewpoint (and I don't say that because I happened to make the profiles for it!).

Note that Skua drawings available on the Internet have some errors, compare this made from some Russian drawings):

with this (the above corrected using offical documents, etc.):

Here's a profile of a well-known Skua, sure would like to be able to fly it in Il-2!

I have to say that while I have never ever been attracted to this aircraft, and I AM a sucker for ugly ducks and lost causes, that that is a beautiful profile and paint scheme, and I'd love to see her in the air.

You have reformed me.

Awesome!

I've been hoping someone would take on this very historically significant A.C.

Very good. They will be very helpful.

I've PMed Magpie as I suppose this should be transferred to the WIP new planes section.

I will hopefully have a little something to show after the weekend.

Good to know this aircraft is being made. A very interesting aircraft, indeed.

Its one of the ugliest planes i've ever seen, but i wouldn't mind seeing it fly.
