PRS sound file help needed
#1

Hi, i would like to know what each line of text represents so i can fine tune some engine sounds.
i use here an example of the first rev range and wav file

[sample.Zero rpm1.wav]
infinite 1
env 8--------------?
controls rpm

[sample.Zero rpm1.wav.rpm]
minlo 100-----------?
minhi 700-----------?
maxlo 1300---------?
maxhi 1900---------?
value 1.0------------?
pmin -1.0-----------?
pmax 1000---------?

[sample.Zero rpm1.wav.start]------------?
minlo 0
minhi 0.5
maxlo 1.5
maxhi 8.0
value 3.0
pmin 1.0
pmax 1.0

[sample.Zero rpm1.wav]
infinite 1
env 8--------------? =enviroment, 8 is internal(cockpit)
controls rpm

[sample.Zero rpm1.wav.rpm]
minlo 100-----------? ]
minhi 700-----------? ]=These are Rpm incraments , 100 would be about tickover , 1900 is about two thirds up the rev range on a v.12 , the
maxlo 1300---------? ] sound wav will spl up smoothly if the gaps are even as in this example , if you were to increase the gap between minlo
maxhi 1900---------? ] and minhi....say 100-1300 then the sound will spl up more slowly because the gap is bigger if you see what I mean.
value 1.0------------? =distance at which sound is heard at , this is not a volume control.
pmin -1.0-----------?
pmax 1000---------? =both of these are audio pitch controls , not eazy to explain , try dropping pmax to 100 and you will see what I mean.

[sample.Zero rpm1.wav.start]------------? = This is a wav sample , .start means this one is pre ignition , ie , the turning over sound before the
engine bursts into life.

minlo 0
minhi 0.5
maxlo 1.5
maxhi 8.0
value 3.0
pmin 1.0
pmax 1.0

Hope this helps...
Jafa.

I see no modifier for powered or unpowered. Is that correct? Is that why there is no grunt when you change the throttle level?
