Nice job, just one small hicup. You forgot to put the mask bayonet recepticle on both sides.

Hi I used this as my base, found a great site for helmets. It still needs more work, I'll try to find some time to fix a few issues, but I'm sure people out there could do a better job than me. Great work on the Panther skin by the way, just thought the helmet needed a little work to finish the job.

I stand corrected. I guess I got used to seeing modern flight helmets too much. Oh yeah, you're welcome 'bout the template. I guess it needed a little work too.

In the movie, "Bridges at Toko Ri" & "Men of the Fighting Lady", the helmets were blue with some kind of design painted on. Just an observation. Don't know if, maybe, that was just for the movie. Could be pure Hollywood.
BTW, Looks good and thanx for sharing. Been waiting for this one.

Hi,

This model came in Gold as standard and then often the pilots painted other colours on top. I decided to do the standard generic issue version first, I may add some coloured ones later.

here a few examples of painted USN helmets...

this is the only shot of 'Bridges at Toko Ri', if you have more shots post them and I'll see what I can do next week.

Great work!

Sorry for the lame question, but how can, or can I edit the helmet? I am familiar with skinning, but I have little experience editing things like pilot faces and certainly how to do this helmet.

Thanks,

This link is dead...anybody have another one?
