Just to let you know that a new version of the campaign for v1.1 of the Darwin map is available for download at Lowengrin's site along with a new version of DCG. I'd advise getting both because there was a bug in 3.41 that allowed ships that collided to respawn and this has now been fixed in 3.42 and sometimes letting the IJN sink themselves can lend you a helping hand when you most need it Wink

I stumbled across MODEL AIRCRAFT MONTHLY magazine (July 2009 vol.8 issue 7) http://www.sampublications.com/sampubs.htm
It has a great article on Spitfire MkVc units vs. Japan over Darwin and Burma. I didn't realize the Japanese launched over 60 missions against Darwin! The article is very informative, has many photos, and also sideview drawings of Spitfires. Darwin is a forgotten battle! Maybe not to Aussies but it is to the rest of the world. I appreciate this magazine having an interest in the less-well-known battles and just thought I'd share this jewel with everyone else.

Yesterday I downloaded this book and will to share it with those who want to know more about the WWII history of Darwin. I think it's interesting for not just people from 'down under'.

Not to stray O/T too much, I have some video of the Darwin attacks. This also includes some interview with survivors and was done a couple of years ago.

I have it uploaded to "Rapidshare" in 100mb size RAR files. It is self extracting, so all parts need to be in one folder.

If there is no objection from moderators, I will put links up after I receive an OK from them confirming I can post links to the files, so moderators please let me know.

Thank you so much for this beauty! Great map and fantastic textures.

It's great to be able to fly the Darwin area, it always has a special interest for me since I've been diving Darwin harbour; many casualties of war out there (from the Japanese air raid of 19 february 1942).

It is really interesting what's down below: sunk US troop ships, several Catalina flying boats, transport ships still loaded with bren gun carriers, motor bikes, trucks...
After all those years I still could pick up lots of ammunition, .303 rounds, 50 cal, cannon shells from the sea floor.. the place was littered with it.
Even a dud Japanese bomb was still sticking head-first in the sand.. what an incredible place!

Thanks again, your work is much appreciated!
