Simple question: can anyone comment on how well this card will run il-2? I mean, could I achieve max settings...?

EDIT: It wouldn't, by chance, be able to run Rise of Flight would it...? :wink:

I think you can 'cause I can do it with my nVidia 8600m gs on my laptop without any framerate drop (until my laptop heats up)

I don't know a huge amount about ATI cards, but I believe this is about the equivalent of a decent 7xxx series card (7950 or so?)

So I imagine it would do a pretty good job with IL2, though it is likely to struggle with ROF. Not too sure if thats much help, but if you can spare a little more money and want an ati card the 4850 is great, especially for the price (here in the UK its around

What you're going to need to find out is whether or not that card will support OpenGL.
If so, what are the specs for OpenGL on that card. ATI has always had a major performance hit when trying to render in OpenGL.
That's why most people use Nvidia.
