Battle of Britain (Attack on Portsmouth)

These two files should be placed into your il2 missions folder under single missions, alternatively this map can be converted into a co-op with editing.

This mission is of September 1940 using canons BoB map. A large formation of He111's is about to attack Portsmouth. Spitfire MkIA's are coming to attack Messerschmitt's but are to be bounced themselves in trying to do so. Hurricanes are trying to engage bombers while this goes on but little can stop the might of their numbers.

The default position of player is in a Bf 109E-4 over Britain escorting bombers. Change this in FMB if you want another position or want to change sides.

We can't have that, some of the bombers may stray over my home town of Southampton! ( actually might improve the place! :lol: )

I really enjoyed this mission, thanks for that.

I'd like to convert it for co-operative, just so one more 109 is flyable.

I was looking at the mission in the FMB but couldn't even find where the player starts out, the sky and map are so crowded!

I presume if I can locate the main player, I just switch the nearest 109's 'player' tag to on, copy the files and hey presto.

Is that the case, and if so how do I locate myself.

Again, great mission.

Dave Slater, put a copy of the MIS and properties files into any coop folder, open the MIS file with notepad and remove this line: "player III_JG2700"

Uhmm! I can fly the map and mission, (nicely done by the way!)but I would like to be able to select a different aircraft or side, I noticed your post on mod fix, but don't see it in "Mods/MapMods/Maps/CAN_Channel/CAN_40_load", none of the line's you list are there!?. Sad

darrme, you are looking in the wrong place.

The "player" line is in the MIS file that you downloaded, nothing to do with mods or mapmods.

I keep getting an error file when trying to load the mission. Its CAN_40 ? I'm pretty new to all of this so you will have to excuse my complete ignorance!

I have d/l canon's Bob channel map.

Any ideas? ta...
