New third party DCG Campaign: Solomons 1943-45
#16

Hi,Dixiecapt!

Strange! I not included any "Dropzone" Locals in the Campaigns .rds files! I finnished the Russell Campaign 5 times and had not any errors!

The runway surface is missing is probably a graphics driver problem! Or look after your settings for the graphic card under "Settings / Control Panel / Display /...! The same problem I had with FS2004!

The error messages are you still with me, I once again check it out!

Has anyone else a similar problem, which should please post here!

Hi,Dixiecapt!

I've just again tested the campaign 2 times in quick passing (total 21 missions). I had no problems in the next campaign to come.
I thought the reason was the "Paratroopers and AI chutes" option of DCG, so I checked and unchecked it, but no problems!

If you play even with the new DCG Version 3.42 (haven`t tested yet!) or you have something changed in the class.dcg file?

Sorry,I hope I could help!

I figured the problem, I had the Static Objects turned all the way up, it kept freeking my system out.

Another problem that was 'Player caused' was the over use of skins. I had every type of plane assigned a historical solomon island area skin, and when I set most of the AI with default skins the problem corrected itself.

thanks for this fantastic DCG, the historical aspects to the mission briefings is a wonderful addage!

Also thanks for the before mentioned tips to add the F4U-1 to this DCG Campaign.

Because of the historical static VMF-213 campaign I put together I have a whole bunch of history about VMF-213 such as skins and pilot rosters. So I've been able the historical pilot names and match them up to thier historical skin!

The game has been running like a charm, thanks again the Slot Map is now complete!

Hi,Dixiecapt!

Nice to hear that you could solve the problem!
I thought for me yet, the Problem is my payload.dcg file.
Ich had the C-47 on suspicion and was about to propose to change their 28xPara loading to default!

Thank you for your feedback!

Happy Landings! Smile

Hey everyone. I'm not sure if its suppose to do this, but i can only see one "DCG Solomons" campaign in my USMC career choices at one time. depending on which one i generated. is it possible to have all 4 in the game at once?

Another problem i'm having is that when i put these campaign files into my DCG, it disables all of the original DCG campaigns that came with it (DCG). i go to generate (ingame) say, RAF - Western Europe campaign, and it doen't do anything. the little green "generate" button "clicks", but it just stays at the same page (which would be the choosing aircraft for the campaign page).

I've read the "idiots guide to DCG", but it still doesn't wanna play. so i guess i must be dumber than an "idiot"!

Hi,kov1985!

Yes,I work on it for the update for the campaigns!

You must paste or copy the "Solomons1943-45" folder in the IL2DCG Main folder, not the files in the IL2DCG/Master or /Data Folder!
The files must stay in the "Solomons943-45" Folder!

When you want to play a original DCG Campaign you must first go to the "Files" Option of DCG and uncheck the "Optional third party folder"!
Then go to Option "Run/Generate Campaign" and you can choose the original Campaigns! Klick "Start" and fire up Il-2!

Look in your IL2DCG/Data and IL2DCG/Master,there are all there!

I hope,Icould help! Smile

Hi,Dixiecapt!

Did you except the F4U1 any other aircraft integrated in the campaign, otherwise I would advise you first to reinstall your DCG and maybe clean up your mods folder! I am sure,Its not a DCG error message!

Sorry for this!

Hi,Dixiecapt

I would still have a proposal:
You should use the "Search" option from Windows and let it search for the "Mono.sim".Then look for the path mesh3do/humans/paratroopers/Russia/Mono.sim or something in the Search Results! So you can eventually locate the Mod!

I did a host of things and waited a while to make sure it worked.

I re installed DCG (and upgraded to 3.42)
Re installed the Slot Map 1.3
Disabled FLushy's Bumpification and Map Texture Mod.
Disabled the Battlefield Sounds Mod.
Re Installed the SLot DCG Campaign, and Left the F4U-1 Out.

Now i've got no problems and I'm running more aircraft than before!

Thanks Again, I'm so taken with a DCG on the Slot Map that I've thrown aside all other projects just to Fly!!!

Ha, it's His Fault, and I'm Loving every moment of it!

No problems whatsoever once I made the changes. Lot's of mixing and matching within DCG to make it seem realistic to Dixiecapt's 214 campaign. Nevertheless, it's an addition you should consider for your update.
