I was trying that until I found that they don't even come close. I have a four view complete with the majority of panels but they won't line up properly with the current setup. so I figured I'll just concentrate on the internals until someone comes up with a good working template.

Me and boosher are going to have a go at doing the panel lines all again. Could I see your 3 view with the lines please? I have the one Boosher is using. Thanks

Looks like Boosher has the one I plucked from the net already. I'll see if I can get mine loaded up and post it. I'm still beating myself up on the internals. Working the cockpit area at the moment.

EDIT.
In an effort to help save site bandwidth, I have published the link I got my drawings from. I'm not saying these are 100% accurate but it gave me a starting point.

I think what we could really use are the drawings FLAK used to make his initial drawings with. From what I've seen from the WIP pics, he has some really detailed ones that would help us out. They would most likely line up better than the ones we're using too.

LOL. Those are the same ones I was using.

I looked at the ones Flak posted and all I can say is YOW!!!! THAT"S what I was looking for.

Now Flak, I know you are under no obligation, but could you post the Panther drawings you used. I think I undermodeled the rivets and panels and I'd REALLY like to do the plane justice.

Progress is slow, but ongoing. The new blueprints are a real help. There are a few differences that we'll have to make up for, like the way the landing gear is orchestrated, etc... however I don't believe that will be a problem.

Flakiten, my biggest question is about the damage2o.tga. When we make changes to it in order to accommodate the new panel lines, will you need to create something new for it? Do we just have to layer bullet holes, popping rivets, tears, cracks, etc... as flat black? If that's the case, then it will be very easy to do so. If it is a more involved process, just let us know and we'll take care of it together.

As for all of us - When we finish our panel line and rivet layers we should look at them side by side for comparison. No rush, we've got plenty of time.

Should you need to contact me, PM me here or catch me at boosh at kbuch dot com.

There are some lines that are important to the damaged2 model. I maked that some panels explode and if you move the line of this panel may not be seen properly. Here is an example of I

Okay, progress report.

Here is what I have gotten done so far.

Had to make these from scratch, including the Hydraulic actuator.

Notice the area behind the pilot where the radios are.

Note the inside canopy rail. Once the windscreen area is done the cockpit should be finished.

I am still trying to detail the main gear wells and trying to find the nose wheel well top and back. The sides are started and I plan to give them more detail also.

The biggest issue right now is finding the rest of the gear stuff. I think once those are all done, it should be pretty much the skin that will need the most atttention.

Perhaps someone else may want to take on the helmet (great idea adding it to the skin BTW. Allows folks to personalize.) and spruce it up. Maybe Stu will give it a go.

RAPTOR, your skin is looking good. If I may make a suggestion? try to darken it just a touch and add a few "miscolored" metal panels. I have found that it really gives the plane personality if it is not all one uniform color. Perhaps discoloring the areas around the exhaust, because of the heat in that area. Not a lot, but enough to show a difference.
