Hi people!!!

I dont post here often, mainly becasue most of the things have been already answered, but i can't see to find a solution for this problem.

So here is my troubles.

I have IL2 forgoten battles, Ace expansion pack and Pacific fighters. I boutght these all as stand alone games/addons. So i want to update it to 4.08m so i can play online via xfire. As i understad to do this i have to install all the stand alone versions in the same folder before i patch. after i've done this i patched to version 4.08m. however when i run the game i can only see IL2 Forgoten Battles and it is V 1.22. Thats my problem i cant seem to get the game to patch properly, hence i cant get the Unified installer from here to work and give me all the wonderfull birds to fly.

So how on earth do i patch it so that i can get it to 4.08m? at the moment all i see is v1.22 and its not Pacific fighters as the loading screen but Fogoten battles.

anyone have any suggestions/instructions?

Unfortunately you cannot install 4.08 onto forgotten battles. You need the 1946 dvd version.
So you cannot play online against people using the 1946 dvd.

Yes, Seaniebeag is correct; you need il-2 1946 to be able to experience the mods.

Guys this is not true. I had patched up to 4.09b on my IL2FB+PF+AEP, and then modded. Perhaps what you say is true for the unified installer - I don't know.
Certainly, for someone not adept with computers the UI is the way to go - and I have gone this way now and I have done it on IL2 1946, not on FB+PF+AEP.
But it is possible to mod without IL2 1946.
Powers that be correct me if my memory is failing.

Ahhhh....your memory is failing :?

You need the IL2 1946 CD..........YOU CANNOT PATCH IL2FB+PF+AEP to 4.08m.

so i went to my local shop and got the IL-1946 CD, WOHO. but ok now i need some more help.

So i instaled il2-1946 over the AEP+FB+PF (kept the old files) now what patches do ineed to be able to get it to 4.08m?

i've got no clue but realy would like to fly online and get the Unified Installer!
