Expanding bullets? New weapon mod policy? This looks like pistol ammo to me. Pilots with side arms? YES!

This is a 30 mm bullet as is been fired by a hurry..the bullet is in 3D--is not only an immage..is a special effect that i've made for the movie..

not to sound like a rivet counter or anything but Hurries never used cannons in the battle of britain and never used 30mm

This is a 30 mm bullet as is been fired by a hurry..

This is most certainly not a 30 mm (did you mean .30 inch?). It is a jacketed hollowpoint pistol bullet (I'd guess 9 mm), and as such would never have been used in the war. The bullets used in MGs are rifle bullets, the ones from the Hurricane looks like this:

If you are after a 20 mm shell, as fired by the Bf 109's, it looks like this:

The film is beautifully shot, but the opening screen states "Summer 1942". The Battle of Britain was fought in 1940, the planes used (Bf 109E and Hurricane Mk.1) would have been relegated to training and other secondary roles by 1942.

Every time that i do a movie i realy want that everything looks real even regarding the historical stuff but it's hard to do both things at the same time or..it takes you time so as i'm luck of time..i've modeled the bullet like a 303 one..it's really hard to model bullets in 3D space...because in the movie..the bullet is looking like in matrix i mean id doesn't pass by it isn't a immage but is comming from far then is rotating and comming in front of the camera what u see there is a really hard work as when the bullet passes the camera is focused on the bullet and the backgrounf is made by many immages..to create like a360 degre angle.......is not a easy work...

I really appreciate the difficulty of modelling anything, even a box (I have tried), and using a Matrix-style bullet shot is a really cool idea. If you modelled the bullet from the ground up, you have done a remarkable job of replicating a 9 mm JHP bullet. A pistol bullet would not have much impact in aerial battles though. At typical firing range (150-200 yards), it would likely just bounce of the side of a 109, leaving a little dent. If you have a chance, I'd really advice you to change the pistol bullet for a rifle bullet (it doesn't matter much which, they all look more or less the same).

... that, and the "summer 1942"-caption, it really should be 1940.

and yeah i know is not 1942 but 1940....because i wanted to conect it to my earlier movie " the eyes of the enemy"

i don't know if i will remake the model of the bullet as this one took me like 1 week to make it..so....
but what do u think?

Thanks for the clip, it's really neat! I can see why you are reluctant to change it. I like the subtle spinning, really good effect! The 9mm JHP looks kin of silly in an aerial battle though.

As for the year, by 1942 the Battle of Britain had been over for a year and a half, and the planes you show relegated to 2nd line duty. If you want this to take place in 1942, the planes would be Spitfire Mk.Vb against Bf. 109F or early FW 190. The bombers would be more likely to be A-20 Bostons, as the tide was turning by then. I thought changing the caption would be easier.

I just want to say that filmatically, this is at lest on par with Pearl Harbour, in my view a lot better! You have really captured the feel of high speed aerial combat!

well this is nothing..compating with what i've prepared for the viewers..planes exploding../ with special effecs/ with a new sistem of camera that i've developed...and i think i will chnage only the year as..i've the movie is almost done..with the e z and hury.. he111..
