Hoping someone can help. I get an application error (memory error) as soon as my plane is about to touch down on the carrier deck. I haven't installed any mods since the last time it was working perfectly. And now all of a sudden..no carrier landings for me?
Anyone have this problem, and ideas?
My memory is just fine, no updates have happened.
which mod version are you using? UI? ModActivator?
next questions: do you have any carrier mods? which AC are you using when this happens? :?:
I'm using 409b1 and latest Modactivator, I don't have any carrier mods. I've tried using multiple carrier planes like I used to use, but it refuses to let the plane touch the carrier.
Just now, I tried crashing into the carrier....still error's out. Strange?

does the memory crash take you out of the game completely? as in, you have to restart il-2?
or does the mission crash and take you to the menu screen? :?:
it might also be map-related. which map is this happening on, or is it more than one map? :?:
I have the same problem as well. Not only do I lock up at 2 virtual feet off the carrier deck, but a tarmac will do the same. I need to use my T/M to get control of my computer. I have been told it could have some thing to do with the ships. The tarmac is found with the ships in the mission builder, and I am told it may have something to do with moving objects. I dont use the U.I. My sound version is 9.3 I dont have any carrier mods or any ship mods. A.C. is the current 3.8. When the problem started I went back and disabled all recently installed mods one at a time and I still have the problem. Any help would be great as I cant land on the deck either!!!
It's very strange. This happens on all the maps for me. Must be something common with the carrier deck object or texture. I can't crash into the carrier or land onto it. It kicks me out of IL2 so I have to restart it.
..so far..landing on the tarmac is just fine..
...a wild stab in the dark here - are you guys using ZUTI's moving DF mod?

I had The moving D/F mod. I disabled it and found the problem still present. ??? Thanks any way :?
I never installed that mod. I don't know what could have happened. Something about the carrier deck that makes my simulator freeze.
It doesn't happen as soon as the wheels touch the deck, it happens consitently about 10 feet from the deck. Almost as if the game is preloading the deck prior to contact...??
Ok found the problem with the memory error on carrier landings. It was the ZUTI AirfieldsMod. Removed it..problem solved.
Yes..Thank-you..I disabled the ZUTI airfield mod and I can now land on carriers again. A million thanks to you for your diligence. I was going to install the U.I. this week-end but now I dont need too. I dreaded the thought of backing up all the skins , missions etc.... I hope for your efforts you win a lottery.
