Hi all,

I am flying the F86 Sabre but I notice I can't access the wing drop tanks I see from screen shots on this forum. They don't show up on my loading screen, just a default machinegun armament. Do I have to download another mod to get the tanks ?

No DT's for the beta. There should be with the full version.

Thats weird as I am using the new version..... have'nt I installed it correctly ?

Also I was cruising the SAS site last night and saw a post that said there was two versions of the F86 available, The F86A and the F86F. Does anyone know where to download these as there was'nt any link on this post.

I've done this mod (the F86 tanks) for Histomod's 335th squadron.

Thanks for the help but I'm not to sure where to put the file. I have put the mod public file in my mods folder but I don't have any droptanks showing up on the loading screen.

Way to go buddy, now there will be people complaining that they get a 60% crash because of your 'mod'... :-?
The amount of fuel is wrong too.

If anyone wants the correct droptanks just be patient they will be in the next Sabre, along with a lot more things. This mod will only cause trouble for most people

I was hoping this wasnt going to happen.. it will make my dreamed about Korean War dogfight server that much more complicated for people.. As for the fuel load out in the tanks.. are you sure its "wrong" or is it in metric units?

Well, buddy, it happens to be a simple mesh mod and a slot added in the wing - so it has no relation at all with amount of fuel (you probably confound Histomod and C6 sabres hock: - they are different and with different FM, and soon Freddy will bring us a brand new cockpit ) ....and if it provokes a crash (what it apparently won't provoke according to the numver of beta testers using different "sabre" mods who used it) anyway it would be at 20% (java crash :evil: ) and not 60% (air.ini crash :???: ) so the waitnig time won't be to long for the deseperatly waiting modder :twisted: (there is one post on another section of this forum about the killing anguish of a modder waiting for the ultimate Sabre and mig-15 - worth reading :lol:

That was my post in fact, and I'll wait for PeterD's work to come out because unlike some other sites this one is focused primarily on online compatibility and with so many mix and match mods floating around the casual user may not know they may NOT be compatible especially if CRT=2 servers are used.

the F-86F inside that mod points to a flightmodel that's not in aircraft installer, thus it will crash anyone's game using aircraft installer... pretty obvious. The fuel amount I just found it odd... 445kgs is roughly 145 gallons... oh well. As long as you enjoy it, that's fine I guess! :lol:
