Windows 7 ultimate 64bit problem
#1

Hi all

I have just installed windows 7 ultimate 64 bit and the only programme that won't work is Hyperlobby.

Has anyone managed to get it going with the 64 bit windows 7 and if so How?

Cheers

Install like admin in your hdd like c:\huperlobby...no in c:\program files folder.
Works for me from day 1.

Install as admin, and just for kicks.. run the thing in windows xp compatibility, same thing goes for il2.

Thanks for that I will give it a go this weekend. As for IL2 I have mine installed on a seperate drive so all I had to do was to create a new shortcut to the desktop and all is working well. Big Grin

Hi

Got hyperlobby to install as you guys said but when I try to connect it to the the game it says it can't find the IL2FB.EXE when it is selected and so I can't join any of the servers. Any ideas?

Miker my machine specs are:

Intel core 2 duo 2.13 gb chipset
HIS ATI 2600 xt Ice Q PRO TURBO 512MB graphics card
4gb Memory
1x250gb SATA HD
1X750gb SATA HD
Hanspree 19 widescreen tft monitor
speedlink blackwidow hotas joystick
Track IR 4 with Proclip

IL2 is updated to UI 1.1 and running smoothly. Everything works except for hyperlobby as mentioned above. It's miles more stable than vista was and runs a fair bit faster and better.

Choose Forgotten Battles room in Hyperlobby, NOT IL-2 Sturmovik room.

Yep did that but it still says it can't find the game installation file and denies access. There are two error messages when I start hyperlobby which I think is stopping it from connecting to the IL2 FB.EXE FILE

And they are ?

Did you let Hyperlobby search for the .exe, or input path manually?
Try running Hyperlobby in XP compatibility, if possible.

Done all of that and no go still won't connect.

The messages both just say "Unexpected error closing" and that is all

Sussed it out Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

In Hyperlobby find the hlpro.exe file and right click into properties and set the compatability with win 98. Then go to IL2EB.EXE in the game folder and make it compatable with win XP.

Once done hyperlobby opens without any error messages and allows connection to the IL2.EXE file.

Found the fix on the UBI forums site Big Grin
