Great work on the new sounds, i can't wait for all the new aircraft either.

As for the replica 262s i think they are using General Electric J85 engines, the same ones that were used on the Northrop F-5 fighters.

They must have removed the afterburner sections of the engines then to make them fit in those engine pods.

Here is what they have done with the 262 (new) engines: They have cast replicas of the cases of the Jumos engines, they put the new GE engines inside the castings, with the same inlet and exhaust ports.

I know only 2 ways for start an tuboreator,because it doesn t start himself like piston engines: start with electric motor or with little piston engine(gazoline or pressured air)!!
i had the chance to see one original jumo in british museum, who was cutted for check inside: it s little piston engine starting!!(see the red arrow!!)
General electric start with electric motor :wink:

so i think we should heard the little air pressure piston engine first, and in same time the turbine getting speed, at the end the turboreator start with loud sound and get more speed again...

but anyway this video look great, i m waiting for the new U.I. and others Big Grin

Yup and thats whats emulated in the vid , the pre start sound I made is from a small two stroke motor , like the one you can see in the pic (nice pic by the way) followed by the compressors folowed by ignition.....
