Problem with Saitek X52's rudder twist
#1

Hello guys, I'm having problem with my X52,

Somehow the rudder seems to move right without any input from me,
and it's very annoying since it's impossible to fly with it!

I've tried to set deadzones, tried to re-calibrate, but no luck. It even moves when I lock the rudder twist...
I'm about to throw it out the window...

Any help would be appreciated, as im short on money this time and i have no chance to buy a pedal. Sad

Yeah, mine does the same thing, but I have rudder pedals. In your case, I don't see why a sufficient deadzone wouldn't help, or make a sensitivity profile for the rudder axis that minimizes movement near the neutral point.

The problem is that it moves far more right, not just around the neutral point.
It's just simply impossible to use it with that kind of deadzones i would have to set. :-?

yes i get this as well, but my solution is to pull the connecting cord and put back in the other way round. I think the connections get a little loose..might help.
Oh btw do this while the "control system window"

No no i think the solution is to Turn a lithle bit the spring of your joystik under the main stik like a button trim and i think it will work because like you see in the pic after calibration still has a litthe turn to the right so i think that is the solution try it Tongue

Well, it seems to me that you have a problem similar to the one I had. When I first bought my brand new X 52 last summer I had it working correctly for approx 10 minutes. Then, out of nowhere, my X axis ceased to work. I contacted the shop where I had bought it and they told me to send it back. After a weeks time I got it back, they told me that the problem was a loose connector and that it should work fine now. It worked fine for about a week, then the X axis started to go loose again. After 3 months the condition worsened and I had to send it back to the shop. Again, they told me the same thing and that it should work fine now. But, somehow I didn't really believe it so I wrote an email directly to Saitek, with everything I had in my mind to tell them (and it wasn't nice). They replied to me that I had a right for a replacement, and if it brakes again, that I should ask for a new one. And it happened again, several months later it ceased to work again. Quite pissed to be honest, I contacted my supplier and told them about the problem, and they reluctantly (after making several contacts with me and Saitek) agreed to send me a new one. Of course, I had to wait almost 4 weeks to get a new X52, but in the end I did. Now, the new one works very well (except one button that doesn't react) but I am just happy that everything else works so I didn't want to make a problem over one button.
All in all, the point of my story is that you should definitely ask for a replacement!

I've been having issues with mine too, not sure if I've solved it yet of not, it didn't seem too bad lastnight but then it seems to be fairly random. I was in a dogfight the other night - seconds away from getting a bead on a pesky P40 when suddenly the calibration went all out of whack - stalled - impossible to correct - BOOM - &*%$

I'm not sure how common this problem is, but I have it as well...
The quicket fix for it is to unplug the cable between joy-and-throttle
then reconnect it with the joystick centered for at least a full second.
