hello, might sound Noobie :oops:
I'm looking for some information on mod sounds.
Is there any way I can change the sounds for IL2 1946
as was done before the present mods scene :???:
I'm only looking to see if I can change the sounds for aircraft
& weapons_mg nothing else :wink:
Any gen appreciated.

Instruction to follow Modded and unmodded.

Here is what I would do if I only wanted change the sounds for aircraft and my game was modded,I'd make my own mod.First make a new folder and name it ~000_Aircraft engine sound the squiggly line and the three zeros in front will help the game know to load that mod first.Then make another folder and name it samples this is the folder that you put the wav files into, drop it into the ~000_Aircraft engine sound folder, Next make another new folder and name it presets, inside the preset folder make another new folder and name it sounds this is the folder you need to put the different engines PRS files into,now drop the preset folder into the ~000_Aircraft engine sound folder and then drop the ~000_Aircraft engine sound folder into your mods folder in the games main folder.This way you can experiment and change things without jeopardizing the games main files and folders.If your game is not modded however then your going to be dealing with the games main samples and presets folder this is often a receipt for disaster,so be very careful and back everything up.
