Hi there,
I have been playing IL2 since the original came out and have always noticed that when you engage level stabilizer below 190 mph indicated the plane will not actually level out until you reach that speed. I Confirmed it tonight when I was doing a high altitude recon mission with a mosquito B MKXVI (since there is not PR model). I was at 28000 feet showing indicated 175 mph which was something like 340-350 MPH TAS and when I engaged the Level stab it would dip to 1000 fpm descent until my IAS was 190 mph. I tried this another time as soon as I engaged level stab I held down the elevator trim up until it was at max and it still descends until the IAS is 190 mph +- a bit. I know you can adjust your trims to make small corrections when your flying with level stab on and once over 190mph I set the elevator trim to neutral and everything is perfect. Is there a way to lower the speed for level flight with level stab on to about 150 mph IAS?? At that speed most airplanes in the game can fly straight and level at most altitudes (within their max alt capabilities). If I wanted to go to 33000 feet I would probably be flying at 170 MPH IAS but doing a pretty high true airspeed but I would need to go to 190 MPH to straight and level....which doesn't make sense since the plane can fly at 170 MPH IAS no problem....
PS the only reason I use level stab is because I don't know if my CH flight sim yoke is old or what but it needs constant adjustment....even after I adjusted my dead zone and sensitivities....and I defiantly have a steady hand, I am a Helicopter pilot, so it has to be yoke related.
Thanks a lot
