I downloaded it from File Planet, installed it exactly as the guide told me to, and i go to start the game, brings up the splash Screen, the crashes back to the desktop


is there any fix for this, i tried, running in comparability, admin, and other things, but nothing worked

please halp

Run IL-2 Setup (in game folder), on the Video tab, select something close as possible to your video card. See if that gets it running.

Did you patch to 4.08m before installing the "mega pack mod", whatever that is?

yes, that was the first thing i did

the splash screen comes up, stays a 5% and crashes.

i can put the old files back, and it will work perfectly, is there a similar mod that allows all of the planes to be flown?

Mega Pack mod??? IMO you'd be better off getting the UI 1.1

Aah...the ol' 5% crash...

5% crash is usually a missing or corrupted .SFS file. This can happen if you don't patch the game to 4.08m before installing a Mod Activator, a ENG_Sound Mod, or the Unified Installer. Sometimes it is caused by sound setting to something other than 44.1 kHz.

Is there something similar? Well, if I knew what the heck you meant by "mega pack mod", I might be able to suggest something.

while some people may be able to help your mega pack problems, unless by megapack you're refering to the AAA Unified installer, you'd be best off asking on the people who made the megapack for help.
