Hi,
From a couple of month ago I got some problems in loading some missions having something like is described here:
viewtopic.php?t=19102
Today dowloading the Canon's channel map I found something really strange:
Loading mission from QMB the loading gives always this problem:
mesh 3do/humans/paratroopers/russia/mono.sim not created
Then tring to continue I got a strong CTD.
Before, this this problem was given with various mesh files like gloss 3do or something like this.
It was acceptable because it happened rarely. Now I can't load this map at all and It crashes in the loading in FMB too!!
I thought could be something related to drivers or Seven 64 I just installed.
Using Vista 32 with old video drivers all worked good!
Once installed Seven (a great OS - loading times reduced everywhere to 1/2) + Many ATI drivers (some from 9.2 to 9.8) this problem remains
I tried to disable/enable everything in the Catalyst Control Center (following many guides and tips found in various forums) testing almost all the avalaibles combinations - no way, the problem still remains.
I've a Intel E6600 on a ASUS P5B with 2GB of RAM and an ATI HD4850.
Soon I will update my PC to Intel I7 and probably a HD4890 maybe in Crossfire, I would like to be sure about this configuration, maybe also with HD4890 + Seven this problem still remain... and at the moment I cannot try Canon's channel map too!!
Have you any idea?
Thanks
