Triple of my comp  . I think if you want the best possible pefromance of what you have now change your cpu to the i7 920, the cheapper one the extereme edition is overkill for il2. 3gb of ram not mb Big Grin , maybe if you wanted to spend more, not saying you have too just a thought, maybe buy a gtx 280 and you might even be set for SOW 8) . Honestly SLI isn't needed unless for games like arma 2 or crysis. So in all honest opionoin upgrade your cpu, though you shouldnt have problems with il2 already becuasue your specs are on the higher end of the spectrum for il2.

Hey Porterhouse,
To me,you have a very adequate rig as is. I have the same E6750 processor as you and I am still using a EVGA 8800 GT 512. I am not much in to overclocking but I will say that the E6750 has some extra "umph". After reading several articles on overclocking I decided to try a modest trial and boosted my E6750 from 2.66 ghz to 3.00 ghz without any increase in voltage. This was my first overclock and this may be something to look in to,just to get a little extra out of what you already have. If you have never overclock there are a lot of good resources for your motherboard and cpu on the internet. If the overclock thing seems intimidating,I still think you are fine with what you have.

Hello Folks,

thanks a lot for the replies, my rig should be set up nicely as is but I still get framerates of about 20 when the map has many ground objects or when I play the offline BOB campaign which includes many bombers. I guess I did setup everything properly as I did read many guidelines about grafic card, config.ini and dll improvements, which helped a bit.

Try overclocking your CPU, that will probably give you a few more FPS.

I'd have to say do you ever DEFRAG and clean up your Disk.
That makes a world of difference.
You have a good computer as is .

The problem with that is that he's gonna have to get a new motherboard and new ram as well.

While the i7 920 might be cheap for the power it can turn out, the DDR3 RAM and LGA1366 mobos aren't quite there yet.
