Any Chance that this could be done, or is someone already working on it. I would love to take one for a spin and shoot up some Zeros

Tigercat, would be awesome. A beautiful bird. There's an F7F about 40 miles from where I live, it's part of "Historic Flight at Kilo-6".

i believe so, i think it might of been three, two doing low passes, in formation, with other warbirds, including the only Zero remaining with the original Radial Engine, and the third was doing aerobatics

This is "Big Bossman", he races at the Reno Air Races every September. Can believe how big that plane is when it's sitting next to a Mustang. It's a Beautiful Bird, and he has taken very good care of her.

I have a lot of pictures from the air races if anyone is interested, but I think this clip tells it all.

we are trying to make it out there for the races one year, i heard it is a hell of an experience

We have one of the Planes of Fame Air Museums relatively close by, we got to their annual Airshow every year, and it's just amazing to hear those old war birds pass by, low and fast. This year, they had the 3 Tiger Cats, then the usual list of 7 P-51s, 2 P-40s, they 2 P-38s including Glacier Gal. This year, the Air force brought along a C-17, last year it was 2 A-10s. It truly is the best show i have ever seen

I've gone every year since 1998 except 2001 and this year, which is still coming. Starting a new job and I'm not going to be able to get away.

It is an incredible experiance. They are coming close to 500mph and running no lower than 50-100 feet off the ground. Being able to go through the pits and look at all the planes and engines is amazing.

And as for the Axis aircraft, I thought there was a ME-109 or a FW-190 racing in the early to mid 60's, but I can find any reference of it. Howard Hughes did aquire a ME-262 that was used for photo recon, and wanted to race against the USAF F-80's but "This was officially frowned apon".
