I thinking in buy a SLI motherboard, but dont know if can use diferent videocards in a SLI motherboard.

well running in SLI doesnt mean u get double the frame rates. also, the 2 vcards will run only as fast as the slowest one. if u really want to go sli its better to have 2 cards that will run at the same speed. make sure u put the slower card in the main slot.

I read SLI can give me a stable FPS, more important than higth Frames rates is the good minimum FPS, never 1 secund above 30FPS.

what are your rigs specs? maybe simple upgrade in the cpu or ram will help.

To be sli unable you need 2 sli video carte of the same kind on sli motherbord with sli compatibe ram memory....But this doesn t matter cause il2 was not a sli capatible game...

So your have to make a decision, do you want two GF8xxx or do you want two GF2xx

Paulo, SLI work in two different way, you have normal sli that will enhance 2 video card getting up to 80% more performance, but this way you need 2 cards of the same model, and you have 3SLI this way allows you to use 2 cards of the same and 1 of a diferent model, in this way you can also use the cards you have now, the biggest one wil be the main card and the 8800 will used in tings like phyxs and things like that, for that ensure that you mobo is ready for 3SLI.

The cards need to be of the same model with same gpu, memory and same memory size and hertz to get sli.. i know this as i have 2x 8800 gt cards where all are identicly the same exept for the memory size where one has 1gb and the other 512mb, and therefor wont run in sli.
But with your 2 cards you can run the older one as a CUDA/ phyxs ( i think thats the name of it) extention. where the older or less strong card calculates other stuff for the game instead of the cpu.
This works on my computer!
