Sony vegas video problem
#1

Hi!

I rendered a video from 3dsmax and I tried to edit it in sony vegas pro 9 but when I open it in trimmer or drag it to timeline
it does not play the video. What I mean is that the cue moves and every other clip play well, but the rendered animation
shows just the first frame all the time. It is like a picture that has been added there.

VLC plays the video fine and working.

What could cause the problem in vegas then?

The file is AVI, but the other vids rendered with same settings work.

perhaps you can use FRAPS instead of the 3dsmaxs built in feature, i've done this myself when i was using the rayfire tool back then.

How to render 3d animations with FRAPS? Is it really possible?

Hi,

Did you solve this problem with 3ds max .avi and sony vegas? I am having the same problem. And Sony Vegas works fine with other avi files.

Thanks

I will try it out later, at least rendering again with Mental Ray instead of Scanline helped me in some problems like conversion fail in youtube.
