Exporting CF_D0 from Max
#1

I'm trying to export the main fuselage section of my EF-130 and it's giving me fits.

I have 5 LODS for the CF_D0 mesh, and a shadow mesh for each LOD except LOD5, as that is how the AR234 is set up. (which I'm using to get my parts in game). The shadow meshes are just copies of one of the LOD models with UV's removed and Shadow2 applied. I linked the shadow meshes to the LOD it was for.

I copied the Hooks from the Original AR234 msh file in notepad and added them to my msh file.

I also created 4 small boxes in Max to use as the collision meshes. The AR234 has 4 collision and I copied the names of each and named my collision boxes in Max using those 4 names. I linked the 4 collision boxes to CF_D0.

I first tried exporting with 2 different materials, Gloss1D0o and Glass2 but this seemed to cause a weird poly spike when viewing the model in DrJones tool. So I used 1 material per msh, with the main CF_D0 msh using just Gloss1D0o, and the shadows meshes using Shadow2.

Everything looks great in Dr Jones msh tool. I see my center fuselage section with the original AR234 parts protruding from it. But it still get the invisible plane in IL2. I'm thinking it is something material related or possibly the collision meshes. What ever it is I'm stumped on it. One thing I did notice was that when I view my msh file in Dr Jones tool it WONT tell you the LOD number or LOD distance for each LOD. HOWEVER it will tell you that info for each LOD in the original AR234 CF_D0 msh.

If anyone would like to check out my MSH file and see if they find anything I'm doing wrong I would appreciate it.

EDIT*

Well it cuts off 90% of the msh text so I will just upload it to rapidshare, hopefully you guys can help me find whatever is causing the problem.

Well... that was it. I feel like a dork now but I'm glad it's working!

I guess Dr. Jones tool kind of missed some stuff when I saved the original msh file to text.

Thank you Loku!

I will name my first born after you my friend!
