The Americans didn't use it, as they had the A14 at that time (43-45) and it certainly wasn't available to the German fighterpilots.. Strange

Well picked up Richard, you are a clever and knowledgeable cat! Reason is I am making this movie privately with a low budget and could not get hold of a German oxygen mask....there are a few available on the net but I am not prepared to pay $4800 for it! ( http://www.germanmilitaria.com/Luftwaff ... 09361.html ) I tried to make one up that was ok for far away shots but looked horrible with close-ups.

Same story with ww2 US oxygen mask of ww2 @ $450 (A13 http://www.bellsaviation.com/mm5/mercha ... ry_Code=OM)

I hope that this will not be a large distraction to the viewers and my opinion is that 90% of people watching this movie will not even pick it up......even the best of the best Hollywood war movies use look-a-like props that are not authentic because of cost and availability reasons.

Maybe that's all he has to work with.. C'mon, it's not even out yet and you are picking holes in it.. There are many major war films made by huge multi million dollar companies that have major inaccurracy in them, but they are still cracking films.. Just enjoy the screen shots for what they are.
