Hmmm. The two winter maps open without any hitch.

But the Summer map - the one I wanted to use to start building a campaign - doesn't. Sad

The error message is approximately thus: "LoadMap error JavaLang Runtime exception"

What is this? How do I fix it? Because I think the summer version looks VERY tempting, and *really* captures this type of landscape.

You are missing some textures. Did you DL the Beta version here or did you use that version, which i send to you via email. All the needed summer textures are included with beta version. See the instructionsTry that. Besides there is a new and hopefully the last beta coming today!! It has many bugs fixed. Plus there is more forests and few airfields added.
Can't wait to see the campaigns that you are building for this map!!

Here is a load.ini with default AAA UI 1.1 textures. You can either copy/paste this to load_s.ini. Remember to select all at load_s.ini and the old load will be overwritten. Or more recommendable:
Make a copy of load_s.ini and rename it to load_sd.ini ann then copy/paste the texts below. Then add this line to all.ini file at
\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\MODS\MapMods\Maps

Hi,

it seems that forest textures are missing (forest/winter/LWoodx.tga and forest/summer/dlv_skwoodx.tga).
I had to replace them in loads.ini files, all is working fine now.

I have the same problem as Poltava: Winter maps open without any trouble but I get that "Java Error message" also when I want to try out the Summer version. :-?
Your alternative by copying and renaming the load.ini works but then I don't have those nice yellowish and brownish textures.
So hopefully it will be fixed in the coming beta version.
Can't wait to try it out. Smile

I was about to send those textures, but you beat me, Agracier.
Tomorrow i will upload latest beta. Map_t needs a bit editing and i check everything once again.... :roll:
