Thank You for the Mission fabianfred. I have a problem with getting the Benghalli map in the QMB, I have the Mission and I put the line Custom??=Benghalli in the IL-2 conf.ini file on the bottom by itself, is that correct. Or do I have to do something different?

Thank You,

rustydawg, do you have the QMBPlus mod installed? You realise you need that installed to add any maps to QMB.
There should be a [quick] section towards the end of your conf.ini where the maps get put, so if you have maps in the list, just add the line like fabianfred said, but not with the ??.....all the ?? stands for, is the next numerical number of the map in the list:
It'll look something like this:
[quick]
Custom0=Burma
Custom1=MTO
Custom2=NWEurope
Custom3=Net5Summer
Custom4=Ardennes_W

In which case, you would add the line Custom5=Benghali - 5 is the next one in the list....make sense?

Ok, see you figured it out already... :wink:

Moved to right section. Hmmm. Do i take my new job as a moderator too seriously?LOL
Well not excacly. Let's keep the official map mods section clean. I will add a link at Avalas Bengali threat, so ppl can find these missions.

Link does not work this afternoon and evening, perhaps temporarily ?

Laziness is the mother of progress. My QMB missions can be found here:

hi fred, something strange happens when I load the quick mission....it loads on the HB_Atolls map. I think I've found the cause, though, which might have an impact on any future quick missions that guys do.
Here's what I found:
If you open the quick mission, the first line or so looks like this:
[states]
head (altitude=8,defence=1,map=47,our=true,pos=0,situation=0,target=0,timeH=9,timeM=0,weather=2)

If I go through my quick list in the conf.ini, I find that my map no 47 is HB_Atolls, hence it loads on that map. I'm willing to bet that map no 47 in your conf is Benghalli.
This means that most people will have their QMB maps listed/numbered differently, and the mission would load on the wrong map for most.
The fix is pretty easy, you need to open the quick mission file with notepad, and just edit the map=?? section of the first line to correspond with the relevant map number as it appears in the conf.
In my case, Benghalli is map 73 in my conf, so I edited it to read map=73, and voila! The mission plays on the right map. :wink: Big Grin
Hope this helps somebody.

....., just wanted to add that its not always as simple as just scrolling through the maps in QMB, choosing the right map for the quick and saving. If you happen to run the mission on the wrong map first time around, it screws with some of the startpoint settings...hence I gave the tip to edit the actual quick mission file. :wink:

Hi,

When I try to play one of these missions on the Benghalli map I get the following error message;

APPLICATION ERROR

The Instruction at "0x5ed0530e" referenced memory at "0x0000051c" The memory could not be read Click OK.....

Any ideas guys?

No other problems with my game!
