#1

Hi, anybody has the original texture for Peleliu aerodrome? Or knows how to import default map textures?
Many thanks in advance! :p

By the way, it's for this:

Thanks but the mission it's not mine, it's PhilK's... I'm awful doing missions. The re-texture of the map it's mine though.

Here are the airfield textures for you. The 3mb one is a .tgb. You will need to rename the file extension .tga to edit it to your liking. Change it back to TGB again when testing in game.

Folder path is MAPS\_Tex\land\pacific

Wow, Bee, thanks!! but I'm lost: what's this stuff about tgb? I always have used tgas for the textures. I've tried to open the tgb with Photoshop, as .tgb or .tga and gives me error. Do I have to use other software? Thanks!!

A TGB is a bigger and more detailed TGA that the game uses when you are close to a surface. The less detailed TGA is used when you are at altitude.

To convert, click the Tools tab in your open folder (up top) and select: "Folder Options.."

You'll get the above window pop up. Uncheck the option, "hide extensions for known file types" and Apply/OK to get out of that window. You can now change the tga/tgb file extension of each Palau texture just by renaming them.

Cool, thanks about the explanation. I had already the extensions of the files enabled, the problem is I'm not able to open the tgb with Photoshop.

Besides, how do you extract this files from IL2? Is there around any library? Or a method to do it?

Thanks!

Thanks Bigboss, I've seen your work with the Coral Islands and it looks great! Have you tested my New Guinea 2.0?
